B12 or B13 Welding Consoles & Trolley
For general work, usually the 5kVA B12L 220/240V or 10kVA B12H 380/415V
will be employed. As well as the standard synchronous control as used in the
B3 described above, they have a four position rotary tap switch on the
transformer primary, giving four heat selections, on each of which the phase
shift heat control can be used, giving infinite control of weld heat output.
They have heavier duty 16mm and 18mm silver-plated Multilam sockets for the
earth and poke gun jack plugs respectively and a light duty socket for the
switch jack plug.
For heavier duty work and where longer welding leads of up to 3 metres
are required, the 15kVA B13H 380/415V console will be used. This will be
used either with standard guns and longer 50mm or 70mm leads for light work,
or with the heavy duty PG6 watercooled gun with 300MCM leads for work up to
1.25mm, to itself or to a thicker section. For really heavy duty work of a
continuous production nature, the B70H will be used, again with the PG6 gun
and 300MCM cables, the limit being 1.25mm mild, stainless or zintec
material. An air operated earth clamp may be supplied with this
installation.
For moving around the work area, B12 or B13 models may be mounted on a
trolley as illustrated here, fitted with a PG3W watercooled gun, earth clamp
and cables.
