C STYLE ROBOTIC SPOT WELDING GUNS

C-Type Gun - Standard

The C-type robot gun is designed to offer the full range of ISO standard weld transformers. The gun features a unique equalising system based around a linear slide mechanism, which offers the smoothest possible balancing movement. This ensures minimum panel damage with a fast balancing action. The air cylinder offers a full ‘non-lube’, fast-acting specification and is designed to provide normal weld forces at a standard 5 bar factory supply, removing the need for special high-pressure circuits. A variety of weld and retract strokes is available. The standard arm centres are 150mm and a full range of electrode arm designs is available, allowing access to even the most complex component.

C-Type Gun - ‘D’ Version

The concept behind this version is to be able to offer deeper electrode arm throats, while maintaining minimum gun length, thereby keeping the gun centre of gravity close to the robot wrist. In many welding applications, throat depths of 300mm or more are necessary for access into a panel condition, but neither the weld cylinder stroke or the arm length is critical. This new system from PW provides the solution. The gun, as with the standard version, offers a high level of interchangeability, and can be offered with a wide range of standard and special mounting brackets, allowing connection to the robot on any side.
